Art Jones, Party Time No. 1 (Medium: Acrylic on canvas)

Shortly after my recent move to Poughkeepsie, I started to develop new themes for series of paintings and sculptures. My "Party Time" paintings feature diverse people developing romantic feelings for each other at social gatherings, which I think is a healthy thing to happen. Interestingly, these paintings were created the year before the Coronavirus struck. I am not, however, painting scenes of people in crowded party settings during the COVID-19 pandemic. My more recent pieces are focused on lonely figures in isolation.
